Individual Psychotherapy
Are you stuck in a rut? Do you keep ending up with the same issues in your relationships? Do you run into the same problem no matter how much you try to make a change? Are you tired of your own behavior and excuses that keep you from becoming the best version of yourself?
Jessica is joining the KuRated Care Collaborative for her advanced practicum in Counselling Psychology.
She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Jessica joins the clinic with experience working with individuals and groups with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and adjustment disorders. In continuing her education, Jessica hopes to expand her skills and work with men, women and families through life’s many complicated transitions. Jessica believes it takes discipline and focus to achieve your goals.
Have you ever listened to the way you speak to yourself? I mean really listen to the words and tone of your on-going self talk. Jessica aims to help clients become their best possible selves. Whether this means making major life changes or simply tweaking a few aspects of your day-to-day life.
While she believes the therapeutic relationship is integral in the change process, she actively works to help her clients cultivate a compassionate relationship with the self using Compassionate Focused interventions.
Jessica is experienced working with behavioural interventions and implanting Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for a variety of disorders and complaints. As part of her learning journey, she is focused on enhancing her skill and knowledge of Brief Solution Focused Therapy with individuals and couples.
Jessica is excited to be joining the KuRated team and learning from the experience of this group while contributing her knowledge and life experiences to the clinic.
Therapy can often lead to an increase in quality of life for the client, enriching relationships, replacing negative/unwanted behaviors with positive coping mechanisms and a gained understanding of one’s past and inner motivations. Let me help you, help yourself! I look forward to walking on your journey with you.
