Naturopathic Doctor in Kingston and the Surrounding Communities

Dr. Scott is a Naturopathic Doctor in Kingston, with extensive training in Acupuncture.

Acupuncture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) technique utilized to decrease pain and inflammation within the body through the movement of Qi. Beyond the thousands of years of traditional use that kept entire populations healthy for centuries, researchers have now studied Acupuncture extensively. The research reflects the powerful natural of acupuncture and its ability to impact hormonal regulation and manage conditions causing pain through inflammatory processes.

Acupuncture treatments involve the painless insertion of extremely small needles along meridians, or energy channels, within the body and the points chosen by Dr. Scott, ND are specific to each patient and condition.

Similar to an appointment for registered massage therapy, Dr. Kate Scott, ND will consult with you at the beginning of your appointment about what your specific concerns are. She will then exit the room while you disrobe to the level appropriate for needling and you lie either face up or face down on the table. Dr. Scott will then knock on the door to ensure you are comfortably under the drapes on the table before entering the room again. She will undrape the body part(s) she needs access to for you treatment and begin your treatment.
