Not sure who to book with? Our free KūRCare Finder matches you with a Kingston practitioner in about two minutes, privately and with no obligation.
If you have ever stared at a list of health practitioners and thought, “I’m not even sure who I’m supposed to see,” you are far from alone. Naturopathic medicine, manual osteopathy, registered massage therapy, psychotherapy, acupuncture, nursing, nutrition: each can be valuable, and each can feel like a maze when you are already dealing with something stressful. That is why we built the KūRCare Finder, a care matching tool for the KūRated Care Collaborative team.

Why finding the right provider is so hard
Most people do not start with a diagnosis. They start with a symptom or a feeling: ongoing tiredness, a stiff neck that will not settle, worsening anxiety, irregular cycles, or a sense that something is off. Translating that into “which type of practitioner do I need?” is a big ask, and benefits coverage adds another layer of questions.
Research on therapeutic relationships consistently suggests that the fit between a person and their provider matters. In psychotherapy, for example, the quality of the working relationship (often called the therapeutic alliance) is one of the more reliable predictors of how people experience care. Fit matters in other disciplines too: how comfortable you feel asking questions, how well a provider’s approach suits your goals, and whether you feel heard.
How the KūRCare Finder works
The Finder takes about two minutes and walks you through a short series of questions. You start by choosing what you would like help with, such as stress, anxiety or low mood, sleep, energy and fatigue, hormones and cycles, digestion, skin, or pain, tension and injury. You can then tell us which services your benefits plan covers, add anything in your own words, and pick the location that works best, whether that is our West End or East End clinic.

From there, the Finder suggests a care team based on your answers. Each suggested practitioner comes with a short explanation of why they were matched to you, such as their special interests and the kind of care they provide, so you are not just handed a name. It also gives a sense of which of your concerns may be covered by your plan, and what a sensible first step might look like.

The tool even includes a visual “care matrix” that maps how your concerns and suggested practitioners connect, with a guided tour that explains each step. It is a friendly way to see how different types of care can work together around you.

Private by design
Many people hesitate to use online tools because they worry about where their information goes. The KūRCare Finder is built with privacy in mind, in line with Ontario’s health privacy legislation (PHIPA). You do not need to enter your name, email, or phone number, so there are no follow-up emails or calls unless you reach out. Your answers stay in your browser: they are not saved by KūRated and they disappear when you close or refresh the page.
You can find the tool on the kurated.ca homepage under “Not sure where to start?” and explore at your own pace. No referral is needed to see any of our practitioners.
Meet the team behind the matches
The KūRated Care Collaborative brings together naturopathic doctors, psychologists, psychotherapists, manual osteopaths, a registered massage therapist, nurses, a social worker, and a holistic nutritionist. You can read about each practitioner’s background and approach on our Our Team page. Having several disciplines in one collaborative can be especially helpful when your concerns overlap, since stress, sleep, pain, hormones, and mood often influence one another.
Start with a free intro consult
Even after a tool points you toward a provider, you should feel confident in the choice. Our practitioners offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions and see whether they are the right fit before committing to care. If it is not quite right, that is completely okay; finding the right match is the whole point.
