Availability: Jes is generally available between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with some evening appointments offered until 8:00 p.m. If you’re looking for a time outside of these hours, feel free to reach out—Jes is always happy to see what might be possible (because life doesn’t always run on a neat schedule)

About Jes:

Jes brings over 20 years of experience in education to her therapeutic work, having spent much of her career supporting children, adolescents, families, and educators within complex systems. This extensive background provides her with a strong, practical understanding of development, learning environments, neurodiversity, emotional regulation, and the day-to-day realities faced by students and caregivers.

Building on this foundation, Jes went on to complete a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, deepening her clinical training and integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches with her real-world experience. This combination allows her to approach therapy with both professional depth and practical insight.

Jes works with individuals and couples who have been managing for a long time and are beginning to feel worn down, stuck, or overwhelmed beneath the surface. She supports clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism, burnout, low mood, trauma, and the everyday pressures of life. Many of the autistic and neurodivergent clients Jes works with seek therapy around burnout, masking, identity, relationships, and navigating systems that were not designed with them in mind

Outside of work, Jes gravitates toward life’s cozier joys—sunshine near the water, books she can get lost in, plants she’s tending (or rescuing), and long winter evenings by the wood stove. Good company is a bonus; quiet time is a close second.

Therapeutic Style:

Jes’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in professionalism. Sessions are calm and conversational rather than scripted, shaped by careful listening and responsiveness rather than a preset agenda. She integrates clinical training with lived systems knowledge, allowing room for humour, reflection, and flexibility.

“I don’t work from a script. I try to meet people where they are, slow things down when needed, and help make sense of what’s happening—without pressure to perform or ‘do therapy right.’”

What to Expect:

Jes’ clients can expect a steady, supportive presence and a pace that respects their capacity and context. Sessions emphasize validation, curiosity, and collaboration, with space for practical problem-solving, reflection, and moments of lightness. Clients are met with encouragement, support through challenges, and an understanding that progress—especially within complex systems—is rarely linear.

“I focus on helping you feel comfortable and at ease, because that’s where meaningful work can begin. If settling in means a quiet moment, a blanket, a snack, or a fidget to keep your hands busy, that’s always welcome here. You don’t need the right words or a plan—sometimes simply showing up is enough. Some sessions are about insight, some about coping, and some are just about catching your breath. All of it counts.”
